'Old but Gold'

Highly commended in the RAF photo competition 2025

I have always been a visual person. I've always had a love for films so I enrolled at Ravensbourne College of Design & Communication on a course in Editing and Post production and graduated in 2015.

During my third year, I started to learn more about Photography as a hobby. I had a Canon EOS 650D which I used for video projects on the course. I began to take more photos, watch video tutorials, and learn from a Photography book I received at Christmas. With all of this plus going out and learning on my own, I discovered Photography was my true passion and knew it was what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I love anything photographic. Through the years my specialist areas were Wildlife, Macro, and Travel.

However since mid 2024, I discovered my new passion which is Aviation Photography. This passion started after my first visit to RAF Lakenheath, where I witnessed the F-15's and F-35's flying, and feeling their rumbles through my chest. I was hooked.

My main areas now are Aviation, Wildlife, and a bit of travel when the opportunity arises. I also take the odd trip down to Brands Hatch circuit every now and then for some motorsports photos.

My latest achievement is winning highly commended in the RAF photo competition 2025. The shot I've included on this page was my highly commended shot, which I titled 'Old but Gold'.

Awards:

- 1st runner up (2nd place) - 'Biggin 100 Photo Competition' (Biggin Hill Air Show 2017)

- Highly commended in the RAF photo competition 2025
